Redrow Homes Daikin heat pump setup guide

This free guide was written originally to help residents in Redrow new build developments in Daresbury and Congleton in Cheshire.
It shows them how to set up their Daikin heat pumps in the correct, energy efficient way.
It appears it is applicable to other Redrow new builds with Daikin heat pumps.

It moves householders away from using thermostats and time schedules to a much more efficient way of using their heat pumps.
The result is a warmer home and lower heating costs.
This more efficient way is called Weather Compensation mode.
This is NOT an official Redrow document but has been developed directly with the support of frustrated Redrow householders in Cheshire. A Daikin engineer confirmed the settings used in this guide were the correct during a Redrow Daresbury visit in February.
By using this guide, those same frustrated householders are now enjoying cosy homes 24/7 and loving their heat pumps.
A quote from one of the Cheshire households:
"My husband and I were so fed up with our heat pump that we were actually considering selling the house. We now love our heat pump!"
"Our home feels completely different"
“I found the guide really easy to follow and the house is comfortable for the first time since we moved in, plus the energy use has definitely dropped”
The guided actions in the document below will also result in a longer life span for the heat pumps themselves.
The document will be updated from time to time, so do subscribe to receive updates.
